The Pirate Captain

The forest grew black/ the clouds drew back
the thunder clapped as if to ask
"Who would dare trespass, on this island?"
Then rose from the sand, a pirate hat. who's that?

Gerald's whole self shook as the hat floated higher
they could see no one but heard dark laughter
Scarlet saw Gerald cry, but they'd not have her
she pulled from her boot a black dagger. Oh my!

An old haggard man faded into view
rotted flesh hung on bones in a ghastly blue
he was a pirate captain by the look of his hat
he eyed scarlet's knife, drew his sword and spat Get Back!

"We mean you no harm!" said gerald through tears
"we came to find treasure and conquer our fears!"
"Indeed," said the pirate "as did my peers,"
"but this very island ate me and nine buccaneers!"

Oh Anthony! Torn and wraught within.
Good Jackson! Tall and Lofty Jones!

Hey guys what do you think about doing a show on April 8th? thats in like 3 weeks or so...
it would be a friday night at matts, mebbe the 1st band could play at 7pm?

I was thinking Twenty PS, Us, and Alethis Metanoia (john, jj ect). But, I talked to John Cannon, and his band would like to play too, their called Save Us, and are really pretty good (listen to the second song they have on www.purevolume.com/saveus. Their good people and I guess they have those professional amps and everything so they might be the most professional sounding guys.

I would like to play with these guys, but 4 bands might be a bit much... I dunno we could do it ... what do yall think?

I just came up with this stuff at school, its still a little rough, but i think im on to something....

We Met In The Rain (a possible second verse, and alternate chorus)

(after the pirate verse, and the whooah ooh's here is a possible final chorus to wrap up scarlet and gerald's plans:)
